Chief Guru of OnlineGURU Inc. Named Finalist for San Diego Business Journal’s Most Admired CEO Awards.
San Diego, Calif. November 18, 2009 -- Today San Diego Business Journal (SDBJ) named OnlineGURU’s Chief Guru Raj Lahoti a finalist for the Most Admired CEO Awards. The organization recognized Lahoti among 500 guests at the San Diego Marriott Hotel & Marina cocktail reception.
The third annual event honored the city’s most influential CEOs—dynamic business leaders and role models selected for their achievements and contributions in public, private and nonprofit sectors and government agencies. With opening remarks by Honorable Jerry Sanders, Mayor of San Diego, attendees enjoyed an evening celebrating the success of numerous remarkable individuals.
The panel of judges selected Lahoti for his accomplishments as a true visionary in the Web space. With strong entrepreneurial drive, he sees the future of e-commerce, online marketing and SEO, and utilizes his skills to direct OnlineGURU’s company strategy. The organization’s biggest goal is simplifying the lives of the online community on The Path to Onlightenment.
Lahoti is best known for recognizing the DMV as an untapped revenue-producing niche, and growing his company to focus on the development of OG’s flagship DMV.ORG. Today, more than 45 million users visit the site each year.
Taking OnlineGURU from a two-man show to a twenty-person operation, Lahoti increased its revenue by more than 300%. Under his leadership OG has doubled the size of its portfolio of Web sites, and it is set to launch another four sites by the end of the year. The company’s latest brand is govGURU, a simplified guide to our government’s programs and services.
The SDBJ will also feature Lahoti in a special supplement published November 30, 2009, honoring all finalists and honorees. You can follow Lahoti on Twitter or find out the latest on Facebook.
